Broadband Stimulus Information
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
In response to the Broadband NOFA of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act released on July 14, 2009, Connect Arkansas has submitted three applications (Arkansas State Broadband Data and Delivery Program, Expanding Broadband Use in Arkansas–Sustainable Adoption, Expanding Broadband Use in Arkansas–Public Computer Access) to implement a collaborative effort with the goal of dramatically increasing citizen use of broadband internet.
Connect Arkansas was notified in December 2009 that it did not receive first round funding. On January 22, 2010, notification was received regarding second round funding. Connect is working diligently to submit applications for this round by the March 15 deadline. All second round applications will be submitted by Connect Arkansas on Friday, March 12.

Connect Arkansas is the Statewide Designated Entity for Mapping and is also working in conjunction with the Office of Governor Beebe to provider coordination and assistance for the Broadband Stimulus Application for Arkansas.
